in case you didn’t at least watch season 2 Haruhime basically lived her life as a slave and later a prostitute after getting sold to the Ishtar Familia. the idea of the story was to test Bell’s moral and question should heroes even save women who sell their bodies and it would’ve been one of the more powerful arcs till the author added in both the light novel and anime where Haruhime’s prostitute friends mention she’s still a virgin cause she kept passing out when she got customers due to being nervous. it’s one of the plot points where it was likely the editor telling the author to add that and you can probably guess how that ruined what was pretty much a good arc in danmachi.

Kinda dark, also unrealistic she’s still a virgin, if she was a salve prosituining, i doubt a John would care about her consent and probably raped her or attempt to rape her.

Yeah thays kind of why people had a problem with that reveal and apparently it was yhe editor who told the author to put that in which is why people says it kind ruins the whole thing of bell saving a girl who lived life as a prostitute and is getting a 2nd chance of having a life

Exactly i call bullshit on her being a virgin. No fucking way in hell a prostitute would be a virgin, hell her pimp would’ve raped her himself long before she was fucked by a John. She either a lying thot or this story makes zero sense.

yeah that part of the story is still odd where Haruhime thinks she’s not a virgin but she actually is? no one in the fandom buys into how Haruhime avoided losing her virginity despite living in the red light district for years in the ishtar familia

but yeah bottom line is everyone agrees on haruhime should’ve been left as a girl who is not a virgin cause that makes her arc all the more interesting from how he she feels tainted and not worth being saved by a hero like in a story where the heroes save a princess and even putting Bell in a spot where once again his moral is tested where he figures out if he should save her or not since most myths define whores as a symbol of downfall for heroes.
